10 Of The Best MMA Brands For MMA Gear

Best MMA Brands

You can’t think of MMA without thinking of Tapout; you can’t think of MMA T-shirts without thinking of Affliction. You can’t think of the UFC without Reebok, or Boxing without Cleto Reyes, for example – here are the best MMA brands that will cater to your every need.

My point is, it’s hard to make a list like this with so many great MMA brands. But I’ve tried to curate a range of reputable companies with a wide range of products – to help beginners and experts find something to meet their needs.

1.) Hayabusa

“Since day one, Hayabusa has possessed an unwavering commitment to be superior in every aspect of performance. The term “Hayabusa” is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon. A predator renowned of speed, power and strength, the falcon possesses the same attributes as the legions of combat athletes around the world who put their trust in Hayabusa. The “spirit of the fighter” philosophy of honor, respect and tradition influences the design and construction of all Hayabusa products”

Hayabusa, for me, were a definite number 1. They are world renowned as one of the best and most reliable suppliers of MMA gear. For many years they have been at the forefront of innovation in the field, developing a wide range of products for every discipline and every aspect of martial arts – from Jiu Jitsu gi’s, rashguards and fight shorts; to apparel, footwear, gloves, equipment and protection.

Whatever you need; Hayabusa will deliver, and there’s no doubt that they will deliver high-quality.

2.) Bad Boy

“Bad Boy was founded in 1982, and quickly built a name for itself in the alternative sports lifestyle industry. In the 1990s, they branched out in to martial arts, and sponsored legendary fighters like Rickson Gracie, Vitor Belfort and Frank Shamrock.

Bad Boy is dedicated to supporting the action sports athlete and providing high quality products that enhance the athlete’s training, performance, and lifestyle. Bad Boy distributes innovative, lifestyle and performance products on 6 different continents. Our decades of experience in creating authentic, competition-quality gear has made us a favorite among core athletes.”

Now, Bad Boy are recognised as one of the leading MMA brands, with their wide range of high quality equipment and apparel – also their eye-catching logo which has been worn so many times in the octagon. With a great range of equipment, and a selection of instantly recognisable selection of apparel – Bad Boy are a great option for beginners and black belts.

3.) Venum

“We bring to every confirmed and upcoming combative talents a World Class Athlete Fighting Experience. By engineering fighting gear with Venum know-how and the shared experience of the best Martial Arts World Champions. By designing iconic, innovative and must-have lifestyle products worn Worldwide. And by supporting the Martial Arts sphere and its market places with continuous investment and passion to build a united family.

Venum are not just innovators in the design and technology of MMA gear; they are incorporate the most outstanding designs and styles in to their apparel, making them stand out from the crowd. They have a huge range of amazing shorts, rashguards, spatc etc. to go along with all of their training gear and equipment – making them another great MMA brand who, really, can do everything.

4.) Tatami

Tatami Fightwear was established in 2009 in the United Kingdom, to address a need for good quality BJJ equipment at affordable prices. Our co-founder Gareth, a brown belt in BJJ, was involved in teaching children and adults in deprived areas and found it increasingly difficult to find good quality equipment at prices his students could afford.”

As a new company in such a competitive market, you have to stand out in order to be successful – and Tatami Fightwear have certainly done that.

With a focus on BJJ equipment, they have yet developed a wide range of MMA products – but their current products are interesting, eye-catching and very high quality. Their gi’s are considered some of the best, and at great value – but their rashguards are simply outstanding, two of which you can see below.

5.) Everlast

“Everlast is the world’s leading manufacturer, marketer and licensor of boxing, MMA and fitness equipment. From legendary champions Jack Dempsey and Sugar Ray Robinson to current superstars Benson Henderson and Canelo Alvarez, Everlast is the brand of choice for generations of world champion professional athletes. Built on a brand heritage of strength, dedication, individuality and authenticity, Everlast is a necessary part of the lives of countless champions.”

Everlast are a well-known and reliable company in the combat sports industry. They produce some of the best boxing equipment, and since expanding in to MMA supplies – they have not faultered on quality.

At the moment, Everlast can’t compete with Hayabusa or Venum in terms of their range of high-quality MMA products – but if you are looking for boxing equipment, even apparel or footwear then Everlast may be a good company for you to try.

6.) RDX

“Since its creation in 1999, RDX has evolved as a company into one of the world’s leading sports brands. RDX Sports is always adapting and providing new ways to meet customer demands. The aim of RDX Sports is to offer high quality products at very competitive prices. As a brand, RDX pays a lot of attention to what customers say, responds with quality products and offers following sale services that won’t let the customer feel disappointed at any point.”

RDX are a very fast-growing company and could soon establish themselves as one of the biggest MMA brands. They produce a huge rage of reliable products at very low prices, catering to everyone from beginners to black belts.

If you are someone who is just starting artial arts then I would highly recommend RDX for a lot of their training equipment; they offer a lot of training kits at bargain prices and will have any other equipment you may need at a very affordable cost. If you are looking for apparel; gloves, shorts etc. then you may have to shop around to find the most suitable. But if you are a beginner, then RDX should have you covered for almost everything.

7.) Century

Century Martial Arts is your world leader in martial arts gear and equipment since 1976. We have a huge selection of quality martial arts supplies; such as martial arts uniforms and belts, our original Wavemaster freestanding bags, fitness gear, sparring equipment, and much more! Century have been one of the pioneers in this industry for a long time, and are considered a high-quality, reliable supplier of any MMA equipment you can think of. Their wide range of training equipment; gloves, mitts, pads etc. is some of the best in the business. They are also great innovators in the industry with cutting-edge punching bags, training dummies and fitness equipment.

They are another great MMA brand who you can count on to deliver high quality products – so it’s just a matter of personal preference.

8.) Fairtex

“Fairtex was founded by Philip Wong, who practiced Muay Thai as a hobby. Fairtex became the #1 brand in Thailand and Mr. Wong wanted to give back to the Thailand community. This was realized when a Fairtex Muay Thai camp in rural Bangplee, 25km outside of Bangkok, was built. Fairtex was able to help young Thai men stay off the streets, stay off drugs and build a life through Muay Thai.”

For more than 40 years, Fairtex has worked hard to develop the best Muay Thai equipment in the world, and establish themselves as one of the best brands in the sport. Their range of Muay Thai gear; gloves, shorts, training equipment and protective gear can compete with the very best MMA brands.

They are a great, high-quality brand who have been expanding in to the MMA industry and now have almost everything you will ever need for your MMA training or competition. They are a brand with great products, a great ethic and a brilliant heritage – and they will, most likely, only go from strength to strength.

9.) Phantom Athletics

“Phantom Athletics is more than a fitness-label. Phantom Athletics is a lifestyle and a claim. In the beginning we were looking for the superior sports accessories. But in search of the best material Phantom Athletics has dealt with many cultures, training methods and athletes. Today Phantom Athletics makes accessible, what has proven to be the most effective training, the best equipment and most functional clothing.

Phantom are one of the most innovative MMA brands in recent years. After the huge success of their training mask (below) – which can drastically improve an athlete’s conditioning by adding applying resistance to their breathing – they decided to expand further in to martial arts equipment.

Though their main success is by producing high-quality, performance-driven products – they have a range of stylish apparel, and a varied selection of almost any MMA equipment you will ever need. They are another MMA brand who will most probably continue to grow over the next few years, as they release more innovative products.

10.) Farabi Sports

“Farabi Sports is an internationally-inspired, fitness and combat brand that creates and markets sports and lifestyle products built upon a strong heritage and authenticity in Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, Martial Arts, Fitness and combat sports categories. The brand is committed to designing and engineering products that reflect creativity and the desire to constantly challenge the status quo.”

Similar to RDX, Farabi Sports offer a huge selection of well-priced products – ideal for any beginner. Although they don’t have many products for professional training, you will find a range of training equipment; gloves, mitts, pads and protective gear as well as leggings, rashguards, shorts etc.

While I’d recommend more seasoned fighters to look for brands nearer the top of the list – Farabi may be an option to consider for some beginners who are looking for some cheap, reliable equipment so they can get started.
